Audition Information

Audition image Canberra REP has six shows each calendar year for which we hold open Auditions.

The 2016-17 Season productions audition dates will be listed below when known:

AUDITIONS: Audition dates for REP's productions of Witness for the Prosecution, Macbeth and She Stoops to Conquer have all been negotiated with the directors.

Witness for the Prosecution director Aarne Neeme; Auditions will be held on the 27 and 28 February at Theatre 3 Acton. Details have been posted under the menu link Audition Information on the left of the screen. Scripts are available now - all auditionees must read the play.

Macbeth director Jordan Best; Auditions will be held on 5 March between 10am and 5pm at The Yarralumla Guide Hall, and between 6pm to 9pm 6 and 7 March at Theatre 3. Casting for at least 10 women and 15 men, age range 16-60
Please note that the main roles are age specific - Macbeth - males 30-40 years and Lady Macbeth- females 25-35 years
For all roles please prepare a monologue from the play - free choice. If you are interested in Lady Macbeth or Macbeth, you must prepare one of the character's monologues. It is very important that all auditionees have read the play. This will be very much an ensemble piece.

She Stoops to Conquer director Tony Turner; Auditions will be held on the 18 and 19 June at Theatre 3. Details of requirements will be posted asap.
Scripts are available now - all auditionees must read the play.

Scripts and bookings through the Theatre 3 Box Office - between 10am - 4pm from 1 February.

Voice Workshop Series

Presented by REP Studio with accomplished tutor Tony Turner, these Voice workshop sessions will provide all participants with invaluable skills and information on voice and accents for theatre performance.

Week 1: Sunday 13 March, Tuesday 15 March
Week 2: Sunday 20 March, Tuesday 22 March
Week 3: Tuesday 29 March, Sunday 3 April (skipping Easter Sunday)
Week 4: Sunday 10 April, Tuesday 12 April

Tuesdays are from 7pm to 9pm, Sundays from 10am to 12pm.

Cost for members / students is $20 per week or $75 for all sessions,
