Season 2017-18

Canberra REP launched its 2017-18 Season on 21 October at Theatre 3, 3 Repertory Lane Acton, with the assistance of the cast from their next production of Noises Off. REP celebrates its 85th year with plays new to our repertoire and accomplished directors to guide us through these adventures of love, intense passion, intrigue, friendship, laughter and remembrance.

Audition Information

AUDITIONS: Audition date for REP's production of Trelawny of the WELLS 10 and 11 December at the Yarralumla Guide Hall.

James Telfer, 60-70 - “a thick-set elderly man…somewhat sonorous in speech and elaborately dignified in bearing”
Augustus Colpoys, 40-50 -“an insignificant wizened little fellow who is unable to forget that he is a low comedian”
Ferdinand Gadd 25-30 -“a flashily dressed young man”
Tom Wrench 30-35 -“a shabbily dressed, ungraceful man … with eyes full of good humour”
Mrs Telfer 50-60 -“a large lady of middle age – a failed queen of tragedy”
Avonia Bunn 20-25 -“an untidy tawdrily dressed young woman with the airs of a suburban soubrette”
Rose Trelawney 20-30 -“looks divine…graceful and charming”
Imogen Parrot 25-30 -“a pretty, light hearted woman daintily dressed.”
O’Dwyer 40-60
Sarah 20-30 -“a diminutive servant”
Mrs Mossop 40-60 -“a portly middle aged Jewish woman”
Ablett 45-60 -“a working class grocer”
Arthur Gower 20-28 -“a handsome boyish young man”

Some roles may double – Audition times from 9.30am to 4pm, 15 minutes per auditionee.

Auditionees should read the play and be prepared to read a scene or two.
