Behind the footlights are new players!

The Creative Team for the Canberra Repertory 2009 production of Jazz Garters, which will be produced at Theatre 3, Ellery Crescent in Acton, from 11 – 27 June has been announced. Joining the Director Jim McMullen, are Musical Director Leisa Keen, Choreographer Lisa Buckley, Set Designer Dr Andrew Kay and Costume Designer Christine Pawlicki . Not to mention some inventive musical collaboration from Peter J Casey for the finale.

Jim McMullen, most recently directed the 2008 Rep production of Cosi by Louis Nowra and has been working closely with the large ensemble cast to craft this exploration of entertainment.
Out of the box and onto the stage will be numbers from many musical and entertainment styles. Cabaret, Vaudeville, Revue, Circus, Comedy are only some of the genres which will take you on this musical journey.

An exceptional cast of 28 performers has been selected to entice and entertain you. This is not the show where stereotypes will prevail – there are no rules – only enjoyment for all!
Escape the winter blues and relish in the musical magic of Jazz Garters…a seriously funny production which will definitely need more than one visit!
