Canberra Rep STUDIO is the workshop/training arm of the Canberra Repertory Society.
It offers a variety of theatre workshops and productions in which new and seasoned actors, directors, backstage crew and writers can come together, developing and refining skills in a creative and collaborative atmosphere.
STUDIO sessions are open to all members of Canberra Rep some activities are open to non-members for an entrance fee.
Part of Canberra Rep's activities up until 2001 had been Canberra Rep Fringe. During 2001, this activity was reassessed by the Rep membership via a survey. The survey results indicated a strong desire for Canberra Rep Fringe to continue—but with a change to its focus and activities. The result of all of that is Canberra Rep STUDIO which has now been running since 2002.
STUDIO has presented a variation on the 'Logues competition for three years. In 2010, 12 scripts were performed for audience vote during the August Finals.
