Alexandra Pelvin | Director
Alexandra Pelvin is a Canberra-born, Sydney-based theatre-maker with a passion for storytelling that centres on strong, complex female characters. Her recent directing credits include Home, I’m Darling and Hotel Sorrento (Canberra REP). In October, she opens The Appleton Ladies’ Potato Race for Pymble Players. She also served as Associate Director on Canberra REP's To Kill a Mockingbird and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. She was Assistant Director for Mockingbird Theatre’s acclaimed productions of The Judas Kiss, The Laramie Project, and The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later.
As a performer, Alexandra has appeared in Henry V (Lakespeare), The Good Doctor and Top Girls (The Impulse Company), Urinetown: The Musical (Heart Strings Theatre Co), Our Country’s Good, A Christmas Carol, Così, The Art of Coarse Acting, and A Doll’s House (Canberra REP), as well as long-format improvised works such as Chez Colette and Rapt in Felt (Chrysalis Theatre). Jude Colquhoun | Assistant Director
Jude has been a part of the ACT theatre community for 30 years as performer, crew and director. She first worked with REP in the early 2000's as a featured performer in Old Time Music Hall. What a joy! In 2023, she was Assistant Director for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged /Revised). With Queanbeyan Players, Jude has directed 5 musicals since 2011. Working with this team and, especially Alex, has come at just at the right time and has been delightful
Kayla Ciceran | Set Design
Kayla has once again sacrificed the laughter and applause of performing on stage for the glitz and glamour behind the scenes. Designing the set for Lizzy, Darcy & Jane has brought her stage design experience up to a grand total of two. She has previously worked with REP to design the set for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). In her mind, the sets couldn’t be more different; for instance, this one has walls. You may have also seen Kayla’s prop design in REP’s ‘Logues competitions (which she won’t mention she won in 2023). From 2023 – 2025, these shows have featured a horrifying demon head (inside a self-moving box), a bullet-wounded GhostBusters shirt, and an octopus.
Nathan Sciberras | Lighting Design
Nathan has always had an interest in live theatre, and for lighting in particular (being the son of well-renowned Canberra Theatre lighting veteran, Alex Sciberras). Looking to build on this interest, Nathan joined REP in 2019 as a crew member and lighting operator. His first lighting design was on the 2019 production of Waiting in the Wings, which played at both REP Theatre and The Q. He has gone on to design for numerous REP productions since then, including Absurd Person Singular, What the Butler Saw, Rope, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, A Christmas Carol, Sense and Sensibility, Amadeus, Away and Bloody Murder, and has won CAT Awards for two of his designs. Nathan has also designed forproductions at ACT Hub, The Street Theatre, and for the Canberra International Music Festival. Away from the theatre Nathan is also a musician, playing in the Canberra group Brass Knuckle Brass Band.
Eliza Gulley | Costume Design
Eliza’s earliest memories include loving constant re-runs of a family Sense and Sensibility dvd. She now specialises in the re-creation of this beautiful Regency era fashion. Eliza belongs to the National Military Re-enactment group, which has allowed her to learn the fashion intricacies of range of historic eras. While sitting in dressing rooms unpicking countless gathers is her least favourite activity, re-creating the elegance of these spencers, tailcoats and gowns is Eliza’s most rewarding role.
Kassia Savidis | Costume Assistant
Kassia is a year 9 student with a keen interest in textiles and design. Kassia is keen to develop costuming and theatre design as a career path. Kassia is already creating cosplay costumes, but is enthralled by the lush design and decoration of the Regency era. Canberra Rep thanks Kassia for volunteering her time to this production
Neville Pye | Sound Design
Most recently Neville was the Sound Designer for Spider’s Web. Neville has produced an impressive array of sound effects for this production, which have been skilfully interwoven into this show. Nev always goes above and beyond – sometimes waaaay beyond! His dedication is deeply appreciated by all who work with him, as indeed are the ear plugs, during cast warm ups. Neville has been the Sound Designer on more than 60 theatre productions and radio plays, over the past 9 years, with Shadow House Pits, REP, Papermoon, Alchemy Artistic, Chaika, Everyman, Free Rain & Echo Theatre. His most recent highlights have been The Boys; Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead & Three Tall Women(2022); Holding the Man, The Children & King Lear (2023); Seagull, Dead Man’s Cellphone, Lord of the Flies & Away (2024); Baby Jane, The House of Bernarda Alba & A Doll’s House Part 2 (2025).
