Amanda Wingfield: Victoria Tyrrell Dixon
Victoria appears in Canberra REP’s production of The Glass Menagerie, following a series of recent roles across Canberra’s theatre community. Earlier this year she performed in No Exit with Mockingbird Theatrics. She also appeared in the world premiere of Baby Jane at REP in 2025, and previously performed as Hermia in Dead Man’s Cell Phone and Elaine in Last of the Red Hot Lovers in 2024, the latter earning her the Helen Wilson Trophy for Best Comedic Performance. Other REP credits include Hilary in Hotel Sorrento (2022) and Maggie Pollitt in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (2021).
Her Canberra work also includes M’lynn in Steel Magnolias and Kate in Emerald City for Free Rain Theatre, as well as The Importance of Being Earnest for Everyman Theatre at ACTHUB. Additional roles include Helen of Troy in Papermoon Theatre’s The Penelopiad and Ruth Bucktin in Jasper Jones with Budding Theatre. Victoria received REP’s Judi Crane Award for Best Female Dramatic Role in both 2020 and 2021 for her performances in Brighton Beach Memoirs and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
She is an alumni member of the Royal British Legion’s Bravo 22 Company and originated the role of Nicola in Theatre Royal Plymouth’s Boots at the Door. Earlier work includes Dolly in One Man, Two Guvnors, Linda Swan in Cash on Delivery, Evie Valentine in The Mozart Faction, and two seasons as Nurse O’Neill in The Sunshine Boys for Old Mill and Harbour Theatres in Western Australia.
Tom Wingfield: Rob de Fries
Rob began theatre life at Goulburn’s Lieder Theatre in such productions as: Waiting For Godot, The Lesson, Hotel Sorrento and Wind In The Willows. Since moving to Canberra, his many appearances have included: Black Comedy, Things We Do For Love, I Never Sang For My Father, An Ideal Husband, Don't Dress For Dinner, Speaking In Tongues, A Doll's House, Mr Bennet's Bride and The Actress with REP; Three Sisters and The Art of Teaching Nothing with Free-Rain Theatre Company; Ides of March, Breaker Morant, and The Normal Heart for Everyman Theatre. He also played Spike Milligan in the Australian Premiere of Ying Tong, receiving the CAT Award for Best Actor. He has directed many short plays as well as full-length shows such as Funny Money at The Q and I Hate Hamlet for REP. Rob is also the coordinator and director of REP's own short play competition, The 'Logues.
Laura Wingfield: Jamie Johnston
Jamie Johnston has been performing since they were 12 years old. Falling in love with the theatre, she performed and did back-of-house for productions in the local Canberra theatre scene while growing up. Leaving Canberra, Jamie decided to run away to the circus and has performed aerials, acrobatics, stilts, puppetry and general tomfoolery since 2021 onwards. They have worked with notable companies like Circus Oz, Warehouse Circus, Cirque M, Erth Visual and Physical Inc., CircusArts Australia, The Indirect Object, Canberra Youth Theatre, Lunar Circus Festival, and Clockwork Circus. Since returning to Canberra, she has performed in recent productions, Les Liaisons Dangereuses (REP), Equus (Free-Rain Theatre), The Waiting Place (Circoscope) and Typo (Clockwork Circus) and remains a fond regular in the cabaret and roving scene.
Jim O’Connor: John Whinfield
John is a Canberra-based actor, writer, and professional voice actor. John’s past roles include Edward Ferrars in Sense & Sensibility (2022), Officer Krupke in West Side Story (2023), Henry in Next to Normal, Johnny in American Idiot, Duke Mahoney in Nice Work If You Can Get It (all 2024), Jeremy Warrender in Spider's Web, Max in Lend Me A Tenor, Dwayne in 9 to 5 (all 2025), and Grantaire in Les Misérables (2026). For his performance as Willard in Queanbeyan Players’ production of Footloose! (2023), John received a Canberra Area Theatre Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. John is also a professional voice actor for video games and animation. Among his numerous credits, John’s notable roles include Abel in The Amazing Digital Circus, Mud and Jack in The Gaslight District (both Glitch Productions), Swansea in promotional material for Mouthwashing (Wrong Organ), and Multiple Voices in Poppy Playtime (MOB Entertainment).
