Two rivals, one wager, no survivors.
This is a dangerous world where you must win or die. Set in the glittering decadence of pre-Revolutionary France, Les Liaisons Dangereuses follows the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, two aristocrats who wield seduction like a blade. Their dangerous games spiral into betrayal, obsession, and devastating consequences, revealing the rot beneath society’s polished veneer.
The action of the play takes place in various salons and bedrooms in a number of homes and chateaux in and around Paris and in the Bois de Vincennes, from one Autumn to Winter in the 1780s.
